I am so excited to be teaching St. Patrick's youngest "Saints and Scholars"--the preschool children! Every day is an adventure when it is spent with such loving, energetic, and eager students. I am blessed to be surrounded by the wonderful children, parents and staff of St. Patrick School.

I earned my degree in education at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and taught in the suburbs of Chicago and in Baton Rouge, Louisiana before settling here at St. Pat's.

My family joined St. Patrick Parish when we moved to town in 1994. My husband, Richard, and I are very proud of our two children. Our son attended St. Patrick School from preschool through eighth grade and our daughter is still here at St. Pat's.

I enjoy getting to know the families of my preschool students and I do my best to get them involved here at St. Pat's because it is such a wonderful community. Once you become part of the St. Pat's "family," you'll never want to leave!

Hi! My name is Cori Carney. I am excited to be the all-day preschool teacher at St. Patrick School.

Educational Background:
I attended Indiana University where I received a bachelor's degree in Primary Education (K-3) with an Ealy Childhood minor. Upon completing my 4 years at IU, I earned my master's degree in Early Childhood Education at Indiana State University.

Teaching Experience:
I taught Kindergarten in the Vigo County School Corporation for 13 years at Sugar Grove Elementary School. My day consisted of two half day programs (a morning class and an afternoon class.)
I started teaching at St. Patrick School in the Fall of 2010, with the opening of the new all-day preschool program.

Family:
I am happily married to my husband, Pat, whom I ironically met in 1st grade at St. Patrick School. We grew up being best of friends all through our years at St. Patrick School and beyond. We have both been life long members of St. Patrick Church. We have three daughters, each of whom attended St. Patrick School.

Family is my greatest treasure...God blessed me with a wonderful one!

My name is Ellen Hughes and I teach Kindergarten at St. Patrick School. I have been married to my husband, Justin, since July of 2006 and we have two beautiful little girls. Cecelia is 3, and Emma was born this last November. It's a bit of an understatement to say that we've had a busy year! Cecelia is very excited to be going to preschool this year with Miss Kymberli! For fun, I like to garden, make home improvements, swim, and ride my quad. I would love to sit down and read a book someday, but for right now I'll settle for teaching your child how to read!
I attended Washington Catholic Schools, grades K-12, and graduated from Indiana State University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. I love my family, faith, and career. This is my sixth year teaching Kindergarten at St. Patrick School and I look forward to many more years.

While in Terre Haute I attended St. Patrick School and Terre Haute North Vigo High School. I teach 2nd grade here at Saint Patrick School. I am a graduate of Indiana State University, with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and Computer Literacy endorsement. My husband Joey and I have one son, Trey, who is also a student at Saint Patrick. One of the most special things for me about teaching at St. Patrick is that I am a graduate. I teach my 2nd graders in the classroom I was once a 2nd grader in! I have so many wonderful memories of my time here as a student, and I now feel so blessed to be adding to those memories as a teacher and parent. My husband and I feel so strongly about the quality, well-rounded education that our son is receiving. His education is so important to us and we feel that Saint Patrick meets his individual academic needs as well as reinforcing the values and character traits we emphasize at home. It is my pleasure and a joy to be a part of this school and parish community that has been a "home away from home" to my family and I for four generations!

My name is Miss Kanouse and I am a second grade teacher at St. Patrick. I just recently graduated from Franklin College and I am very excited to be starting my career at this school. I am originally from Mooresville Indiana and I am new to the area. I really enjoy cooking, reading and keeping up a healthy lifestyle. I think that the staff and families of St. Patrick have been very welcoming and helpful in my coming to Terre Haute and Saint Patrick. I am very excited about this year since second grade is such a big year for our students. Being a part of a Catholic school, I am very pleased to have the opportunity to instill such great values into the students. Being able to share my faith with the staff, families and students at this school helps me to grow, in a positive way, everyday.

I am a third grade teacher at Saint Patrick School. I graduated from Purdue University in 2009 with a Elementary Education Degree and a Reading Specialty License. I am excited to call St. Pats my school, the students are GREAT and the parents are the best! I have had numerous experiences in the classroom both at Purdue; through student teaching, which was in a first grade classroom at St. Mary Cathedral Catholic School in Lafayette, and also through other educational positions, including using the RTI assessment methods as an Interventionist at Miami Elementary in Lafayette. I teach Science and Social Studies to both third grade classrooms. I am excited to introduce the students to inquiry science and meaningful learning. My husband Bret and I enjoy spending time with our dog, Angus, and exploring the outdoors as much as we can! I love to read, write, and spend time with my family and friends. I am looking forward to many more years at St. Patrick School!

My name is Mrs. Lisa Eilbracht, but I commonly go by Mrs. E. (Eilbracht is a difficult German name to pronounce, and somehow Mrs. E. has just stuck!) I am a graduate of St. Mary of-the-Woods College and I attribute my years there, teaching 6 years at Sacred Heart School in Terre Haute, and now my 7th year here at St. Patrick's, for the deep love I have for Catholic education. My main goal for each of your children is to develop that same love for learning in a caring, respectful, and stimulating environment. I am looking forward to working with you to make this a successful year for your child.

I teach Language Arts to middle schoolers at St. Patrick School. I am a 2009 graduate of Indiana State University where I received my teaching degree along with a reading minor.
