The 2006 Stewardship Renewal Drive is Underway
Below is the letter that was sent to members of the parish in the Stewardship Packet. If you didn't receive a packet, or are new to the parish and would like more information, please contact the parish office at 812-232-8518.
Visit our Time & Talent or Treasure Stewardship pages.
As shepard of St. Patrick Parish, I thank God for the wonderful people in our community. You are trying doing the work of Christ, both in the parish and in our archdiocese! I see evidence of Christ working through you, as St. Paul so eloquently observes:
"Grace was given to each of us according to the measure of Christ's gift...He made some apostles, others prophets, others evangelists, others pastors and teachers, to equip the holy ones for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ." Ephesians 4:7,11-12
Drawing from this scripture, we have adopted the theme Grace in Action for this year's Stewardship Renewal. Each of us has special graces to use in the Church. During our Stewardship Renewal, please prayerfully evaluate how you are using God's gifts:
TIME: Do I make time for prayer? By myself and with my family?
TALENT: Am I building the Body of Christ with my talents, especially in parish ministries?
TREASURE: Do I give consistently and proportionately to both the parish and the archdiocese?
Together, Archbishop Daniel Buechlein and I ask for you commitment in these three areas. Please take some time this week to sit down with your family and prayerfully fill out the ... commitment card. You may bring it with you to Mass on November 4th or 5th, or ... mail it to the parish.
May God bless you and be with you today, tomorrow and forever.
In Christ
Rev. Rick Ginther
Pastor
